New Haven Schertz was the first assisted living residence to open in Texas in 2014. Schertz, Texas lies just northeast of San Antonio, and southwest of New Braunfels. The first settlers came to Schertz in 1843 from the Alsace Lorraine region of France. Schertz family members still live in the City, a sign of the pride of the Schertz Community.
